The Team
The Twin Bridge Water Ski Team was formed over 35 years ago by a small group of friends with a big interest in skiing. They and their families worked hard to organize a long lasting tradition. Their love of water skiing and the beautiful High Falls Flowage inspired the formation of the team.
Our team has come a long way since its beginning in 1971. At that time the team had 24 members and used borrowed equipment! We bought our first boat for about $850 when gas was under 50 cents per gallon. Today our team includes some of the original members, their children, and grandchildren. We have been called "the small team with a big heart!" Today our fully equipped tow boats cost nearly $40,000 each!
As a non-profit organization, we rely on fund raising such as raffles, sponsorships, and donations to keep the team running. Our two biggest fund-raisers are our 4th of July show and our Fish-O-Rama, Winterfest & Snowmobile Radar Run, which are held every year on the second weekend in February. During our Fish-O-Rama, there are cash prizes for the biggest fish in each species, trophies for the radar runs, and plenty of hot food and beverages!
Each year we host a Learn to Ski Day for where new skiers, young and old, can learn something new. We also compete annually in the Wisconsin State Ski Show Tournament in Wisconsin Rapids.
In 1994, Twin Bridge won the Wisconsin State Division 2 Championship at the State Tournament in Wisconsin Rapids. In 2002, the club won the Best Barefoot Act with our Double Barefoot Pyramid, and also received the Most Outstanding Trick Skiing Act that year.
The Show
Our show consists of a variety of pyramids, jumps, stunts, barefoot skiing, and more. High pyramids, graceful swivel skiing, twisting and flipping over the jump, and high speed barefoot acts are just part of the exciting entertainment the whole family can enjoy, all on the beautiful High Falls Flowage!
Comedy, skits, dancing, and costumes bring the themed show together for a fantastic evening complete with awesome scenery. So bring the family and sit back, relax, and enjoy our show!
